The man suspected of being the recent fatal violence at Brown University authorities state died by suicide on Thursday evening, per officials.

His body was discovered at a storage facility on Thursday evening, as reported from an enforcement source. This suspect is also believed of killing a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor at a residence in the Boston area.

“He took his own life this evening,” stated the head of the Providence police department during a press conference.

The chief named the deceased man as Claudio Nevis Valenti, a 48-year-old student at Brown University.

This development comes after a major law enforcement operation at a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire earlier on Thursday. Journalists on scene reported seeing multiple armed officers converging on the location.

The manhunt for the perpetrator had resumed on Monday after state prosecutors announced that a person of interest on Sunday had been released. This turn of events was acknowledged to be deeply concerning for the city residents.

The young victims who lost their lives in the attack have been identified. They are Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama who was active in a campus political group, and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an Uzbek national in his first year who dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon.

Officials are scheduled to hold a press conference to provide additional information on the circumstances of the death.
