Outrage as Renowned South African DJ Gunned Down in Johannesburg.

A popular South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the metropolis of Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a nation battling entrenched crime.

Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the central business district on Tuesday afternoon.

Officials stated the forty-year-old media personality was accosted by three individuals, one of whom opened fire on him before fleeing on foot.

The motive of the shooting remains unclear and no one has been arrested are in custody, as per the official statement.

The Fatal Incident

Law enforcement indicated that Stock was attacked as he was departing from a building in the vicinity of the Carlton Centre.

He had devoted time at the property overseeing the setup of safety equipment, which had been reportedly taken over by unidentified individuals, as per local media.

"Authorities believe the victim was confronted by three unidentified men after parking his vehicle, and they began shooting at him before escaping on foot," a police statement confirmed.

Surveillance tape showed a man with dreadlocks and dressed in what resembled a protective services outfit shooting on Stock before making his escape.

The DJ attempted to flee after he was shot but collapsed a short distance away.

Police added that Stock had an weapon on his person and nothing was taken during the assault.
