Star Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Position Following Voicing Controversial Covid Feature

Liam Neeson has given his voice to a feature-length documentary that questions the safety of vaccines and commends ex- health official RFK Jr.

The Film's Contentious Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a bestselling book written by Judy Mikovits, who gained notoriety during the health crisis for claims that the virus was a result of a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

The publication's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with controversial media personality a known commentator. Heckenlively wrote online celebrating Neeson's involvement in the film.

An Unequivocal Rebuttal

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have issued a response pushing back against claims that he supports anti-vax beliefs.

"Many recognize that corruption can exist within the drug industry, but that cannot be conflated with opposition to vaccines," the comment reads. "Neeson never has been, and is not, against vaccines. His long work with Unicef underscores his long-held support for public-health initiatives."

The statement continued that the star did not shape the film's messaging and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the producers.

Major Claims Within the Feature

As presented, the voiceover spoken by Neeson features several strong claims:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to government bodies.
  • It posits that "research has become highly politicised."
  • RFK Jr is shown stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not properly vetted."
  • The narration also criticizes pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it mentions a view that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Historical Context and Recent Disputes

The film further cites a past television report about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the focus of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

In recent weeks, Kennedy instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its longstanding position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is repeated in the documentary, contrary to a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation reiterating no connection has been found.

A Previous Position of Support

Differing from the documentary's tone, Neeson has in the past shown strong support for vaccines in his role as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," adding that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in our history."

The documentary finishes with Neeson's script saying, "This marks not the end of our narrative. This is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
